Greetings Folks,

I can never hope to match the resourcefulness of some of the members here and I turn to you after and exhausting search for this little-known program which is extremely educational for newbies - DesignSoft EDISON v.4. It is from the same people who make the somewhat popular TINA analysis/design software.

Here's a link for more info on the program
http://www.dsmm.net/English/edison/index.php

If you could provide a fully-functional version of this program, please reply. I shall be counting the seconds...

Regards,

Thanks, I have tried this little (but great and useful for teaching) program on my PC, using XP Pro.
It's working as well.

However, here are my two add-ons to this:

1.
An extract from the original EDISON.HLP:

COMPILING SETS OF EXPERIMENTS AND PROBLEMS

Edison is greatly enhanced by the inclusion of two utility programs with which you can create sets of experiments and problems optimized for your teaching circumstances. These programs run under DOS and are not Windows programs; furthermore, they are command line driven (no menus) and use ASCII source files. You will need a simple text editor to create/modify the input files.

The Experiment Set Compiler (Expments.exe)
The Problem Set Compiler (problems.exe)

The two utility progs (for using in a DOS window) are attached here (Ed_compilers.zip)...

2.
Pink color problem (if any):
Edison 3D screen doesnt show the components, just a pink background.
Solution: the maximum resolution Edison 4 can handle is 1400x1050.

Try it!
